Heliski Nepal - Ski Helicopter in the Annapurna Mountains

Designed exclusively for Alpin Luxe, in partnership with HHSG, we are proud to offer a truly remarkable Heliski and Golf Experience in Nepal. Himalayan Heliski Guides is the first and only Heliski Company in Nepal and has operated for 18 years, offering heliskiing in the Everest, Annapurna, Dhauligiri and Humla regions of Nepal. Snow conditions, weather, views, terrain are as good as it gets anywhere in the world. Combined with the Nepalese culture, lifestyle, jungle safaris, golf, we’ve created the ultimate heliski trip that only a few select people will ever experience.

Perfect powder is standard fare high up in the Annapurnas.
Experience the most spectacular first descents on the planet.

With heliskiing and golf in the heart of the Himalaya, this excursion is sure to be one of the most memorable trips of your lifetime. We have found the Annapurna region to be the best as the skiing and snow conditions are consistently excellent. This allows us to stay in Pokhara at the Temple Tree Resort & Spa – a boutique luxury hotel combining western lodging standards with the distinctive architecture and culture of Nepal’s Western Himalayas. Located on Phewa Lake, the Temple Tree features spectacular views of the Annapurna mountain range.

The day after arriving in Kathmandu, you’ll begin with an Alpin Luxe HHSG Exclusive – a scenic Mt. Everest flyby. Most humans will never get to witness Mt. Everest up close and personal, and no need to spend days on the climb! The Heli stops at the Everest Basecamp for photos and then returns after an exhilarating scenic flyby. After lunch, the group flies to the Temple Tree Resort in Pokhara to get settled in and go through orientation and safety procedures.

The Majestic Silhouette of Annapurna towers above Pokhara.
Heliski Nepal - Skiing in the South Annapurna Region
Vast expanses of untracked snow await you in the Southern Annapurna region.

Heliskiing takes place on the north and south side of the Annapurna. The south side has spectacular views of the south face of Annapurna I, Fishtail Peak and surrounding peaks. The north side has spectacular views on Annapurna II, III & IV. In both areas, the peaks are the main features and are in plain view the entire time, and they’re enormous… like, unbelievably enormous! We ski for 4-5 hours, giving us at least 6-8 long, untracked, powder runs.

Near the Temple Tree Resort in Pokhara is one of the world’s most exotic golf courses – the Himalayan Golf Course (HGC). Set inside a spellbindingly beautiful river canyon with a breathtaking view of the Annapurna Himalayan range, the HGC’s signature 5th hole is the ONLY natural river island hole in the world. The club house is perched on the canyon’s edge, 250 feet above the river, with stunning scenes of the canyon walls dotted with eagles’ nests and waterfalls. Augusta National might be steeped in tradition, but the HGC is steeped in some of the highest mountains in the world!

Heli-skiing in the Annapurna is simply amazing. To be able to ski on pristine powder snow in a small group amongst some of the highest and most beautiful mountains of the world is something I was fortunate to experience. To share it all with a small but diverse mix of people made it even better. Thanks to Craig, and our great, relaxed, hosts who ensured the skiing was safe and the evenings in Pokhara good fun. If you are thinking about doing this trip … just do it!

I spent the 2nd week of March 2017 skiing the Himalaya with Craig's team. The uniqueness of the environment, with its constant BIG mountain feeling (this is the Annapurna after all), makes this experience so special: you haven't skied till you have been there .... it is a must on any skier's bucket list, period!

I have Heli-skied for twelve years, in Canada, Alaska and Kashmir, but this trip has been the highpoint of my skiing career to date. The beauty of the area, the scale of the peaks, the heartiness and kindness of the people took my breath away and the memories of this trip will last a lifetime. If you can swing it, put this one on your list.

It doesn’t matter where you have skied - the Himalayas are like a different planet. It’s such a bizarre feeling to be in 5000 meters and still have a whole Alps size mountain above you. It is wild. The sense of solitude and peace is unmatched. Nepal offers also a rich cultural experience. You don’t really see Buddha temples, camels, elephants, and monkeys in ski resorts. The trip left me with a strong urge to adventure and discover other exotic ski destinations. And someday I have to get back to Annapurna for more pow!
