Spacious Slopes

There are a mind-boggling 254 ski resorts in the French Alps with the largest lift and piste network in the world! Espace Killy (named after 3X Olympic Champion, Jean Claude Killy) is a high altitude French alpine ski domain that links the resorts of Tignes with Val d’Isère. Combined, these two resort towns host over 180 miles of ski trails and 90 lifts.

Val d'Isère Secret

When most ski resorts worldwide are winding down, Val d’Isere and Tignes remain in full swing. Due to temperatures remaining at sub-zero during the nights all winter long and into April, the snow conditions are still like mid-winter – cold and dry. Add some springtime sun, more favorable weather and it’s the best spring skiing anywhere.

French Alpine Cuisine

Whether it’s the sumptuous European breakfast buffets to the many quaint and rustic Savoyarde on-piste dining establishments, the French cuisine never disappoints. We hope you like cheese, because nobody does it better than the French! In the evening, we indulge in Raclette, Tartiflette and Fondues – all from mountain cows, and wine from the Savoie.

Le Tsanteleina

We are excited to be spending our week at the family owned, Le Tsanteleina, a luxurious 4-Star hotel property in the heart of Val d’Isere. Only 150m from the lift stations and slopes – with access to six ski resorts, Le Tsanteleina’s world class restaurant (with 3 Fourchettes, 1 Assiette by Michelin Guide and 1 Toque by Gault et Millau) will keep us fueled. Add “The Pure Spa” and their M Bar, and life is good!

The Hall of Famer

World-renowned free skier, pioneer of extreme sports and certified mountain guide, Dan Egan, has appeared in thirteen Warren Miller ski films and is known for skiing the most remote regions of the world with his brother John. In 2001, Powder Magazine named him one of the most influential skiers of our time and in 2016, he was inducted into the US Skiing & Snowboarding Hall of Fame.

The Olympic Champion

At the 1992 Olympic Games in Albertville, France, Donna Weinbrecht made history when she won the first ever Olympic Gold medal awarded for women’s Freestyle Mogul Skiing, Come join us to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her historic achievement and pick up some once in a lifetime tips as Donna shares both her love of skiing and some invaluable insights in her infectiously warm and uniquely inspiring way.
