Growing up in the Salt Lake City area, ballet was Ruth’s early love. Dedicated to dancing & choreography, she has carried this grace into life skills as she transitioned into the outdoor sports and activities world. While attending the University of Utah, Ruth was active in skiing, hiking and biking in the Wasatch mountains.

With over 30 years’ experience in the ski industry, Ruth has run ski education programs at Stevens Pass Ski Resort in Washington and at Grand Targhee Resort in Wyoming. Ruth has also been Base Area Manager; overseeing ski school, guest services, mountain hosts, as well as F&B, rental, retail, and ticketing for more than a decade.

As a Certified Member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, Ruth is currently providing private ski instruction at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana in addition to coaching with Alpinluxe.com  A specialist in working with women and kids, Ruth is widely regarded as “The Anxiety Whisperer,” with teaching skills developed to help clients relax and enjoy the wonderful sport of skiing.

Off snow, Ruth can be found baking with grandkids & enjoying summertime activities with her Husband, Ken, at their home on Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada.
