Barry Levinson

Barry Levinson hails from the home of Woodstock in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York – which alone almost guaranteed his membership with the Alpin Luxe Team. A University of Denver grad, Barry is one of the most influential and experienced members of the ski industry. He was most recently Founder and President of SRD/Ski Racing Development and SYNC Performance apparel, where he was responsible for launching its acclaimed technical outerwear brand. He also previously served as the Product Development Manager at Spyder and established Torstai/Club A as being one of the most visible, influential and fastest growing skiwear companies of its time. Club A was featured in major ski films, including the iconic “Blizzard of Aahhhs” and “License to Thrill.” Club A also was the apparel supplier to the USA, Norwegian and Finnish national teams. Barry has also provided services to leading brands Bogner, POC Sports, SWATCH and others via his consultancy Having skied from above the Arctic Circle to the Chilean Andes (not in one go!), Barry is a highly dedicated alpine and backcountry skier, road and mountain cyclist, private ski instructor at the Vail Ski School and loves European skiing. He completed the legendary European Haute Route and Ortler ski mountaineering tours and is a former Vail/Beaver Creek Town Race Series champion. Barry is also the co-founder of the Berlack and Astle Memorial Fast Skier Award. Barry resides in Vail and his son Stefan is part the Alpin Luxe University of Colorado connection!
